It’s a few weeks since Youth Assembly 2010 and it’s easy to forget about all the issues we discussed over the weekend and go back to our normal lives. But remember that what happens next is down to YOU.

We voted to send some resolutions to Methodist Conference next July, but we also voted on recommendations that need to be acted on now and over the next year if we want to make a difference.

Below is the list that Youth Assembly decided to pass on to Generous with links so you can easily find the action or chat page related.

We generated the ideas- now lets put them into action!

  • * Sport and faith*

Email your District Chair about sport.

Chat about your ideas for getting the Church more involved with sports.

  • * Worship*

Share opinions, ideas and resources about Worship.

  • * Sex and Relationships*

Lobby your church council to provide more space in your church life to talk about sex and relationships.

“What are your ideas about ways to engage with young people in discussions on these sensitive issues safely and sensibly?”

  • * Israel/Palestine*

Talk with your minister to find out what your local church is doing to support the Just Peace campain.

Find out about the Kiaros document.

Join a team developing resources about Isreal/Palestine.

Make a Pilgrimage to the Holy land.

We have the power to make a difference in our Churches, our communities and the world- and it starts with taking small steps like the ones above!
